That would also seemingly placate my suspicions on who exactly reported the murder. If Jerry was on the street, then any Tom, Dick, or Jane could've stumbled upon his corpse; as opposed to being behind the wall where—until he started reeking—no one could reasonably encounter him by chance.
I mean, I'm still curious who reported the murder, but it's fallen off my list of important clues.
Yep! You previously said the crime scene is a locked room so unless we have specifics, it is hard to say who was there and how it happened. Vic has a good point but then I think Jerry was drunk? Maybe he even tried to fight but there are plenty of variables that can lead to this.
Now I think if there is a chance multiple people were there and they all joined against Jerry but eh, nothing to support that with. Hm.
I guess that would require going through every person who had a problem with Jerry and think of a possible motive but I do not like the possibility of accomplices. Not directly.
As for the report, agreed. That is why I suspect someone moved the corpse somewhere where somebody could find it but why? One reason would be the killer wanted anyone to find Jerry's body but that does not solve anything. Hm.
If it wasn't for Vic's "Nine times out of ten it's the family" line, I'd argue Jerry has to be suspecting Corey.
But given that, of Jerry's immediate family, the sister probably couldn't get the drop on Jerry with a cinderblock. This leaves Dad and Dylan; and while neither have solid alibis Dylan's stress induced nose bleeds are a tell.

Once again, I don't like writing the police because honestly Vic's argument falls apart pretty easily.

Rob: "Hey, Jeremy! Look at my cinderblock! LOOK AT IT, DAMNIT!"
Moth
the true reason he died was because he wasn't impressed by Rob's cinderblock :(

Hmm…
I think my biggest takeaway is that it seems like Jerry's body was moved from the fenced in area to the street.
Moth
nah I just never drew it clearly :S he pokes his head through the fence, gets whacked, and falls back onto the street.
if I did this all again the actual murder (and investigation) would be the thing I'd change most

Ah. Thanks for clearing that up!

Can't tell if Jerry's angry at Rob, suspecting Dylan, or seen a spider on the wall

honestly it's jerry, he might have just spotted a mirror and doesn't like the way his reflection is looking at him
