I was getting really excited because I thought I was posting page 5 today and I really like that page for some reason. But this is page 4 and I guess it's quite... nice(?) too.
A cinderblock is just one of those things that registers as primally terrifying for me when used as a weapon. My lizard brain doesn't think of guns or cars as particularly terrifying, but a big ol' rock applied to the head scares the hell out of me.
Loving the colours, by the way. I find red a really tough colour to integrate into my work for some reason.
Trying to make out the works in the left and right red panels...I can see "what" and "you" and maybe "idiot" but aside from that, can't be sure. Looks like general words of panic.
You know... Most of the time I am in opposition of rebooting a comic. I guess I feel that most of the time it isn't necessary? And I didn't think your comic needed a reboot.
But I don't think that anymore after reading this opening. It is very, VERY nicely done! I am enjoying this a lot! It is so cinematic--like a movie. I love this new art style as well! It really shows off your amazing talent.
Oh gosh, thank you both! I'm so glad it's seeming worthwhile so far, I was almost in two minds about rebooting at all :')
But I'm feeling good about it now, so happy people are liking the new version!

Is the previous version still to be found anywhere, though? Because I thought it was great too, and it'd be sad if it was no longer online to re-read...

I love using red, blue's my difficult colour to work with. Just because I don't like it as a colour :')
